What is the Remuneration Report?
The Remuneration Report provides decision-makers and authorised officers of councils with reliable comparative data on the total remuneration package of executive and management staff in councils across NSW.

The Remuneration Report is based on data gathered through the annual LGSA Remuneration Survey and is available in time for councils' budget preparations (usually in mid-February). The Report contains a number of statistical measures for each position. Depending on which level of report is chosen, comparative data is provided for similar-sized councils across NSW and/or for councils in the same region.

The 2011-2012 LGSA Remuneration Survey
Survey packs (including the instructions, survey forms, price list and order form) for this year's survey can be requested from Debra Law by phone 02 9242 4142 or email debra.law@lgsa.org.au

Survey participation
This survey traditionally has the highest participation rate of councils in NSW. Where sufficient data has been received, the survey report can provide remuneration comparisons against councils in the same region as well as against similar sized councils.

Completed survey forms should be returned to Debra Law by the due date indicated on the survey form (usually November) to receive a discount on Remuneration Report orders. Participating councils will receive a complimentary copy of the NSW Local Government General Manager Remuneration Report.

All councils in NSW are encouraged to complete their surveys to ensure decision-makers are able to draw on current and comprehensive data.
